Overview

Read the following guides to correct any issues during the Get Data process.

Data File Related Issues

General

If your data file has moved, your data file user name or password has changed or you are having trouble connecting to your datafile, you may need to change how ODBClink connects to your data file. For more information, see Changing how ODBClink connects to your data file.

MYOB AccountRight Live

To troubleshoot problems with MYOB AccountRight Live, see Troubleshooting Get Data Problems with MYOB AccountRight Live.

MYOB AccountRight Classic

To troubleshoot problems with MYOB AccountRight Classic, see Troubleshooting Get Data Problems with MYOB AccountRight Classic.

Xero

To troubleshoot problems with Xero, see Troubleshooting Get Data Problems with Xero

Data Warehouses Related Issues

Too many data warehouses configured.

Skip Unchanged Data Files on Get Data.

Folder Related Issues

ODBClink Folder Permissions

If you are getting errors relating to folder read or write access, see Troubleshooting folder permissions.

Temp Folder Permissions

If you are getting errors relating to temporary folder, see Troubleshooting temp folder permissions.

If you prefer choosing a different location for the temporary folder used during get data, see How to choose a different temp folder.

Crashes

Excel crashes when closing the progress dialogue

Some users experience crashes in Excel when closing the progress dialogue. To resolve this problem, you will need to configure ODBClink to automatically close the progress dialogue for you. For further information, see Configuring ODBClink to automatically close the get data progress dialogue.

Turning off Compact/Repair

By default, ODBClink ships with the option to compact and repair databases on get data. This sometimes can fail and prevent the get data from completing on some machine. To change this option, see Enabling or disabling the compact databases on get data option.

Turning on Developer Mode to check temporary files generated during get data

The get data process uses a temp folder. You can turn on developer mode to have a look at the files generated during get data. See How to turn on developer mode for more information.
