Overview
Developer mode turns various options on which allows debugging ODBClink. It will ensure the temporary files generated during get data are retained on your system.
How to turn on developer mode
To turn on developer mode, follow these steps.
- Start ODBClink;
- From the Command Centre, click Return to Menu;
- From the Menu, select 30 Settings, then Options;
- Click Set User Options;
- From the user options dialogue, select Toolbars on the left-hand side;
- Tick Show Developer Toolbar;
- Click Save and Close;
- From Excel, select the Addins tab in the ribbon;
- Click the first button of the developer toolbar. It looks like ruler and set-square.
Notes
- The developer mode must be turned on each and everytime ODBClink starts. It is not retained or remembered between sessions. This is by design to ensure you don't need to remember to turn it off.
