Overview

ODBClink stores the information relating to your data file in a database. This ensures that you do not need to specify how to connect to your data file each and every time. However, you may need to change this configuration when your data file moves, when user names or passwords are changed, or if you have recently moved ODBClink to a new location.

Changing how ODBClink connects to your data file

Manage Data Files Dialogue

To change how ODBClink connects to your data file, follow these steps.

  1. Start ODBClink ;
  2. Cancel or close any warning messages or prompts displayed at start-up;
  3. Click the Manage Data Files button; The Manage Data Files dialog will display
  4. Select your data file from the list displayed and click Edit Data File; The Data file setup dialog will display
  5. Change any settings required and click OK;
  6. Click Close on the Manage Data Files dialogue.
