Overview

The Get Data process uses a temp folder to store and process the data downloaded from your Accounting Package. ODBClink provide the ability to chose where this temp folder is located.

How to choose a different temp folder

To choose a different temp folder, follow these steps.

  1. Start ODBClink and cancel all the prompts displayed at started.
  2. From the Menu, select 30. Settings then Options.
  3. Click the Set User Options button.
  4. Select Get Data from the list on the left hand-side.
  5. Change the Get Data Folder option to one of the following options.
    • Perform Get Data using USER'S temp folder will force ODBClink to use user temp folder.
    • Perform Get Data using C:\Temp folder will force ODBClink to use the C:\Temp\ODBClink\ folder.
    • Perform Get Data using nominated folder will force ODBClink to use the folder you choose.
  6. If using Perform Get Data using nominated folder, click the Browse button and select the folder that will be used.
  7. Click Save and Close the dialogue.
