Mandatory Upgrade Required Before 1 March 2026

This upgrade affects the following Accounting Addons products.:

  • BudgetLink
  • DirectDebitsLink
  • ExcelReportLink
  • ODBClink

The upgrade is required to be installed before 1 March 2026.

Why is Upgrading required

MYOB is introducing mandatory security changes that take effect 1 March 2026. After this date, older versions of Accounting Addons products would not be able to connect to MYOB company files.

We have developed and published upgrades to each of the products listed above in order to work with these changes.

What has changed

MYOB has updated the way it controls access to company files. Under the new model, connected software must request permission to access only the modules it needs, such as general ledger, contacts, banking, or payroll. This is different to the previous process that provides access to everything at once.

This change comes directly from MYOB and affects all software that connects to a MYOB company file. It is not optional. After 1 March 2026, any software that has not been updated will no longer be able to connect to MYOB.

This update provides improved security and ensures customers have greater control over which applications can access their data.

ExcelReportLink List Reports now include bulk jobs updater

We are pleased to announce that the ExcelReportLink List Reports now include a bulk jobs updater which allows you to make changes to jobs in bulk.

You can use it to quickly update all the job numbers or job names.

At this stage, it is only available in the Pro Edition.

In addition, we have included a Jobs List report which is available in All Editions.

New Addon! ExcelReportLink List Reports now available.

We are pleased to announce the release of ExcelReportLink List Reports for MYOB AccountRight Live and MYOB AccountRight Classic.

The purpose of ExcelReportLink List Reports is to provide a quick, easy and affordable way to create simple reports that list customers, employees, suppliers or items located within MYOB.

Existing ExcelReportLink users can also upgrade their existing software to include some or all of these list reports as these reports are now also included in the different flavours of ExcelReportLink. For example, ExcelReportLink Sales Pivot Solution includes the customers, employees and items list.

Super Reconciliation Report added to ExcelReportLink Payroll Pivot Solution!

We are pleased to include a new Super Reconciliation Report as part of ExcelReportLink Payroll Pivot Solution.

This report is included for all editions of ExcelReportLink Payroll Pivot Solution but can only be fully customised using the Standard Edition or the Pro Edition.

Workspaces added to all products

We are pleased to announce that a workspace feature has been added to all products.

Workspaces allow you to create and manage separate configurations and environment for BudgetLink, ExcelReportLink, ODBClink and DirectDebitsLink. It is used primarily by consultants, accountants and managers to work on different sets of companies at a time.

Note that Free Editions and Standard Editions users will be limited to a single workspace but users can upgrade to the Pro Editions or Ultimate Editions.

Archiving added to all products for MYOB AccountRight Classic, MYOB AccountRight Live and Xero data files

We are pleased to announced that an archiving feature has been developed for MYOB AccountRight Classic, MYOB AccountRight Live and Xero data files. This feature is included in the following products: BudgetLink, ExcelReportLink and ODBClink.

This improvement means that the Get Data process will be substantially faster for anyone who upgrades to the latest version and enables the archiving functionality. Note that archiving is only available to Pro Edition users.

It is also worth noting that this improvement will also increase the speed of the Get Data for those on  Standard Editions.

ExcelReportLink Cash Flow Pivot Solution
