Overview
Read the following guides to correct any issues during the Get Data process.
Data File Related Issues
General
If your data file has moved, your data file user name or password has changed or you are having trouble connecting to your datafile, you may need to change how ODBClink connects to your data file. For more information, see Changing how ODBClink connects to your data file.
MYOB AccountRight Live 2014 or lower
For ODBClink or other third-party software to connect to your MYOB data file, many components must be installed and running. For more information, see the following topics.
- Could not obtain the list of data files error message
- Installing the MYOB AccountRight Live API
- Starting the MYOB AccountRight Live software
- Starting the MYOB AccountRight Live services
For users who used have installed multiple versions of AccountRight Live and who may have used the PC installation (as opposed to Server installation) of the latest AccountRight Live, you may need to uninstall the old MYOB AccountRight Live API. For more information, see the following topic.
Error messages when connecting to MYOB AccountRight Live
The following lists the known error messages when connecting to MYOB AccountRight Live.
- Access was denied to the MYOB AccountRight Live data file
- The MYOB AccountRight Live data file could not be found
- The MYOB AccountRight Live data file path is not entered
- The MYOB AccountRight Live data file must be upgraded
- The MYOB AccountRight Live server name is not entered
- The MY.MYOB login used to connect to the MYOB AccountRight Live data file is invalid
- The MYOB AccountRight Live API is not installed on the local machine or server
- The MYOB AccountRight Live API is not installed on the cloud
- The MYOB AccountRight Live API limits have been reached
- The MYOB AccountRight Live API request is invalid
- The application is not authorised to connect to the MYOB AccountRight Live API
- The item could not be found within the MYOB AccountRight Live data file
- The item was updated by another user within the MYOB AccountRight Live data file
- The item was removed by another user within the MYOB AccountRight Live data file
- The MYOB AccountRight Live API is corrupt and must be reinstalled
MYOB AccountRight Classic 19.10 or lower
For ODBClink or other third-party software to connect to your MYOB data file, the MYOB ODBC Driver must be installed and configured correctly. For more information, see Troubleshooting the MYOB ODBC driver.
