Overview
If you use MYOB AccountRight Live with the MYOB data file hosted on your local machine or on a remote server, you will need to install the MYOB AccountRight Live API.
The API will need to be installed on the machine that is hosting the file. As such, if the file is hosted on a server, the API will need to be installed on that server.
This article only applies you are using Server installation of MYOB AccountRight Live and not the PC installation. See How to confirm if MYOB AccountRight Live was installed using the PC or Server Installation for more information.
Installing the MYOB AccountRight Live API
To install the MYOB AccountRight live API, follow these steps. You will need to follow these steps on the machine which hosts your MYOB data file.
- Go to the physical machine that has your MYOB data file;
- From the Windows Start menu, click on Computer;
- Navigate to the following folder C:\Program Files (x86)\MYOB\AccountRight\API_Installer\;
- Run the MYOB.AccountRight.API.Bootstrapper.exe file to install the API;
- If it still doesnt work then reboot your machine.
Notes
- If your machine is a 32-bit machine, the API installer will be located in the following folder C:\Program Files\MYOB\AccountRight\API_Installer\.
