How to Guides

Entering your Budgets

If you require the advanced strength of BudgetLink's budgeting functionality, read the How to enter your budgets guide for more information.

Importing your Budgets

If you have spent time devising your budget numbers externally from BudgetLink, you can import these numbers easily. Read the How to import your budgets guide for more information.

Creating additional Budgets or Forecasts

While most accounting packages can capture one set of budget numbers, BudgetLink has the power to have multiple budgets used for various purposes. Read the Creating a New Budget guide for more information.

Modifying Budget Data

Once you have Budgets within BudgetLink, you may find youself needing to modify your numbers in bulk (e.g. copy your budgets from 2013 to 2014 to use as a starting point). Through Version Control BudgetLink allows you to manipulate your numbers without needing to manually key them in. Read the Modifying Budget Data guide for more information.

Protecting your Budgets

Once you are happy with your Budgets, you can lock your budgets so that no one can edit them intentionally (or otherwise). Read the How to lock your budgets guide for more information.

Restoring a budget from a backup

A backup of your BudgetLink data is usually taken each time you close BudgetLink. You can use these backups to restore your budgets to an earlier time. For more information see Restoring Budgets from a Backup.
