Overview
On some machines, opening workbooks can be slow. This may be related to hard disk issues or network issues. Note that very large files can be slow to open and is not unusual.
However, if you find that opening reports is very slow, we recommend you first check to see where ODBClink is installed and check the following:
- is the machine running Out of Disk Space;
- is ODBClink installed in a network location that is in the cloud and 'offsite';
- is the network generally slow, or only ODBClink files;
- is your Anti-Virus up to date;
- is your Anti-virus using a lot of CPU cycles while the file is being opened.
This may help identify where the slowness is happening.
