How to restore a Data Warehouse

Overview

A Data Warehouse is a Database. If its an MS Access database its possible that it can get corrupted. If so it will generally show a message that it contains unreadable content. Restoring a data warehouse is a matter of locating a backup and then copying it into the Workspaces folder

Procedure

  1. Go to the ODBClink\Workspaces\[Your Workspace] folder
  2. Cut the corrupt data base and paste it outside the ODBClink folder to keep it just in case
  3. Navigate go to Workspaces\Backups\Data Warehouses folder
  4. Copy the Backup of the data warehouse which was working last.
    1. Check the Get Data Logs to determine the last one which suceeded
  5. Paste it into the Workspaces\[Your Workspace] folder
  6. Re-run the get data process

If that doesnt work, you might need to go back to a earlier backup
