Adding a Trusted Location in Microsoft Excel 2010 or 2013

Adding a trusted location in Microsoft Excel 2010 or 2013
  1. Start Microsoft Excel;
  2. Click on the File button;
  3. Click on the Options entry in the list;
  4. Click on the Trust Center entry in the list on the Excel Options dialogue;
  5. Click on the Trust Center Settings... button;
  6. Click on the Trusted Locations entry in the list on the Trust Center dialogue;
  7. If ODBClink is installed on a network, tick the Allow Trusted Locations on my network option;
  8. Click on the Add new location... button;
  9. Click the Browse... button and select the folder where ODBClink is installed'
  10. Tick the Subfolders of this location are also trusted checkbox;
  11. Click OK to add the trusted location;
  12. Click on the OK button of the Trust Center dialogue;
  13. Click on the OK button of the Excel Options dialogue;
  14. Close Microsoft Excel;

Once the Trusted Location has been added you should be able to start ODBClink . However, we do recommend you ensure no disabled items have been added. See Compile error due to disabled items for more information.
