How to upgrade from MYOB AccountRight Classic v19 to MYOB AccountRight Live

Overview

From an integration perspective, MYOB AccountRight Live is a completely different product than MYOB AccountRight v19 (Classic). While the Classic version provides access to the MYOB data via an ODBC Driver, the Live version provides access via a web based API.

As they are different, the process of upgrading from Classic to Live requires changing the connect type of an existing data file connection. All your budget and settings are stored against a data file connection so its important to edit and not delete your existing connection

Note

The existing data file connection stores all budgets and settings relating to that data file. If you delete that connection it all associated budgets and settings will get deleted also. Make sure that you only edit the existing connection rather than deleting and adding a new one
