Exporting Budget Data

Overview

Budgets can be captured at the Company level in MYOB If you are using BudgetLink as the source to capture your Budgets it is possible to export as a text file ready for import into MYOB.

Exporting Budget Data from BudgetLink

1. From the Menu, click on 20. Budget Entry;
2. Click on Utilities link in the menu;
3. From the Utilities page, click on Export Budget Data;
4. Click Yes to take a backup of your budgets, prior to importing;
5. In the Export Budget Data to MYOB dialogue, filter the budget data to be exported by choosing the Budget Version, Company and Financial Year and then click Export;
6. In the Export dialogue, choose the File Name and Path to save the Budget file as and click Export;
7. Once exported the Budget data has been exported message box will display. Click OK;

Importing the Budget Data into MYOB

1. Start MYOB;
2. Refer to MYOB help documentation for version specific instructions on how to import the Budget data.

After importing, it is recommended that you review the imported budget data. You can do so by running the Profit & Loss Multi-Period Budget report in MYOB.
