Excluding data file accounts when mapping to the account hierarchy

Overview

When mapping your accounts, you may come across accounts that you do not want to include the account hierarchy. Excluding those accounts will instruct BudgetLink to ignore those accounts and not to apply them to the account hierarchy.

In doing so, it is important to note that your alternate account hierarchy will no longer reconcile to your data file's accounting package as it will not include all acccounts.

How to exclude data file accounts when mapping to the account hierarchy

To exclude accounts from being mapped to the account hierarchy, follow these steps.

1. From the account hierarchy mapping screen, select the account from your data file on the right-hand side;
2. Click the Exclude button.

View excluded accounts

You can view the excluded accounts by clicking on the Show Excluded Accounts under the list on the right-hand side.
