Overview

When adding a new workspace, you have to chose whether:

  • You wish to create a new empty workspace;
  • You wish to link to an existing workspace that may have been created by someone else;
  • You wish to create a new workspace by upgrading from an older version of ODBClink that didn't have workspaces;

Create a new empty workspace

When creating a new empty workspace, all the files and folders necessary for the workspace to function will be copied to the folder chosen.

Link to an existing workspace

When linking to an existing workspace, all existing files will remain in place and ODBClink will only add a new entry to it's internal list of workspaces. The workspace will remain unchanged.

Upgrade from an old version

When creating a new workspace by upgrading from an older version of ODBClink, you will be prompted for the following:

  • the location of the older version of ODBClink;
  • the new folder location for the new workspace.

ODBClink will then copy the necessary files into the new workspace and run an upgrade process to transfer the old settings into the new workspace.
