Overview

On some machines, it is best not to used trusted documents in order for ExcelReportLink to start correctly.

Trusted Documents are a feature of Microsoft Excel 2010 onwards and did not exist in Microsoft Excel 2007.

Disabling Trusted Documents in Microsoft Excel 2010, 2013 and 2016

To remove an trusted documents in Microsoft Excel 2010, 2013 and 2016, follow these steps.

  1. Start Microsoft Excel;
  2. Click on the File button;
  3. Click on the Options button;
  4. Click on the Trust Center entry in the list on the Excel Options dialogue;
  5. Click on the Trust Center Settings... button;
  6. Click on the Trusted Documents entry in the list on the Trust Center dialogue;
  7. Click the Clear button to clear the trusted documnets list;
  8. Tick the Disable Trusted Documents checkbox;
  9. Click on the OK button of the Trust Center dialogue;
  10. Click on the OK button of the Excel Options dialogue;
  11. Close Microsoft Excel;
