Verifying and Optimising your MYOB Data File

Overview
Most errors relating to the MYOB ODBC driver can be resolved by verifying and optimising your data file. This applies to MYOB AccountRight Classic but does not apply to MYOB AccountRight Live.
You should always verify your data file before as it may raise errors that the optimize cannot repair, or that the optimize can only repair if the verify has detected it.
To verify and optimize your data file, follow these steps:
- Open your MYOB data file in MYOB
- From the File menu, select Verify Company File and wait for the process to complete;
- From the File menu, select Optimise Company File and wait for the process to complete;
