This support note provides high level steps to Report Actual vs Budget by Job by Month.

  1. Start by Entering your Budgets by job by year and by month into BudgetLink.
    1. Skip this step if you want to use job budgets already captured in MYOB
    2. or Import Budgets if you already have then in Excel
  2. Once entered, audit your budget numbers using the
    1. Monthly Profit and Loss Report to audit the company wide budget
    2. Profit and Loss by Job Report to audit the annual job budets
  3. Compare Actual vs Budget in the Budget Analysis Report
  4. Customise the Report to change the job or what data appears on the report
    1. Select the Job filter and choose the Job
    2. Select the Budget Version filter and choose the version which contains Job Budgets
    3. Select the Year and Period
  5. Click OK to refresh the report
  6. Add new columns to report or hide existing ones by using the Layout function
  7. Then prepare reports for your Board by using the Publishing Function
  8. If you require a Forecast Version as well as a Budget Version you can create that using Version Control
