Overview
BudgetLink requires the exact ID or location of your MYOB data file in order to successfully extract data. Sometimes such as when MYOB is upgraded the ID changes
If you experience any of the following errors then try re-browsing to your MYOB data file to resolve them
- Changes made to your data file do not appear to be updating in BudgetLink
- A data file cannot be found error message appears
- You have recently upgraded MYOB and data is missing or not reconciling with MYOB after running a get data.
- The Get data was previously working and then fails
- You receive a permission error when running a get data
Here is how to re-browse for your data file
Make sure that you edit the existing data file connection and DO NOT delete it as that will delete any budgets that you have
Procedure
Follow the steps below to re-browse to your MYOB data file.
- Go to the Data file Setup form for the failing data file
- Click the Select (Browse) button
- Log on to my.MYOB
- Choose your data file from the drop down
- Click Close on the Manage Data Files dialogue.
- Re-run the Get Data process
