Profit and Loss by Category Report

Overview

The Profit and Loss by Category report displays your Profit and Loss Accounts down the page and your Categories across the page. It allows you to quickly get a detail view of your business broken down by Categories in the one report.

To keep the report concise, only Categories which have values for the currently selected filters will be included on the report.

How to view this report

To view this report, follow these steps.

1. From the Menu, click on 15. Category Reports;
2. Click on Profit and Loss by Category.

How to use this report

Upon opening the Report all Categories will appear down the page

To change what data appears on the report then click on the customise button and select the appropriate filters.

Trouble Shooting

If numbers only appear in No Category then if you are using MYOB AccountRight or Xero you will need to change the Version: filter from Actual to Actual (Categories)
