Overview

Budgets can be captured at the Company level in MYOB If you are using BudgetLink as the source to capture your Budgets it is possible to export as a text file ready for import into MYOB.

Exporting Budgets from BudgetLink

  1. From the Menu, click on 20. Budget Entry;
  2. Click on Utilities link in the menu;
  3. From the Utilities page, click on Export Budget Data;
  4. Click Yes to take a backup of your budgets, prior to importing;
  5. In the Export Budget Data to MYOB dialogue, filter the budget data to be exported by choosing the Budget Version, Company and Financial Year and then click Export;
  6. In the Export dialogue, choose the File Name and Path to save the Budget file as and click Export;
  7. Once exported the Budget data has been exported message box will display. Click OK;
  8. Open MYOB and import the budget data. Refer to MYOB help on how to import data;

After importing, it is recommended that you review the imported budget data. You can do so by running a budget report in MYOB.
