Overview

This support note shows you how to connect BudgetLink to your MYOB AccountRight Live data file located in the Cloud

It can connect from any PC which has an internet connection.

You will require your MYOB logon credentials and separate MYOB data file username and password if you have one set up

MYOB or its API's are not required for this connection

Procedure

  1. Go to the Data File Setup dialogue;
  2. Enter Company Name;
  3. Select MYOB AccountRightLive 20YY or prior as the Data File Type;
  4. Choose to Connect to MYOB data file in the CLOUD using MY.MYOB account only OR Connect to MYOB data file in the CLOUD using datafile USERNAME and PASSWORD;
    1. If you log onto MYOB first with an email address and then have a second user name and password then choose the USERNAME and PASSWORD option
  5. Click the Select(Browse) button to select your data file;
  6. Log in to your my.MYOB account and click the Allow Access button;
  7. Select the data file to connect to and click OK;
  8. Enter the User Name and Password to connect to your data file;
  9. If this is showing an error or you are unable to login into MYOB, Add a new user in my.myob and attempt to login with the new account;
  10. Click OK to close the Data File Setup dialogue;
  11. Click Close to close the Manage Data Files dialogue;
  12. Run your first Get Data.
