BudgetLink Folder
Overview
Occassionally you may need to perform maintenance tasks which require locating the BudgetLink folder and files
Unlike most software BudgetLink the application is Microsoft Excel and the BudgetLink solution is a series of files and folders within a folder.
During installation the default path for the BudgetLink folder is the C: drive however it can be saved and named any path. The default name of the folder is BudgetLink.
It is not advisable to install BudgetLink in Program Files as each user account requires full read/write permissions to that folder
The Folder contains the following sub folders:
Workspaces
Version Folders
BudgetLink.exe
BudgetLink.ini
If you do need to locate the BudgetLink Folder, follow the steps below
How to locate the BudgetLink Folder
If BudgetLink is open
- From the BudgetLink Menu click Help
- From the BudgetLink Help Menu click Links
- From the BudgetLink Help Links Menu click BudgetLink folder
If BudgetLink is not open
Upon installation BudgetLink will prompt to add a BudgetLink Shortcut to your desktop. The BudgetLink Shortcut will exist if there is a BudgetLink Logo with the name Start BudgetLink v[Version Number] on your desktop. If the BudgetLink Shortcut exists then follow the steps below to locate the BudgetLink Folder
- Right click on the BudgetLink Shortcut and choose Properties.
- Click the Shortcut tab
- The BudgetLink Folder path will be noted in the Target Field
