Create Alternate Chart of Accounts
The Challenge
Your business chart of accounts contains many accounts to represent the varied operations of your business or organisation. Depending on the audience receiving your reports, you sometime need to control the order of the accounts and how they roll up into header accounts.
You may also want to pull accounts from your balance sheet onto your profit and loss reports.
Most accounting packages do not allow you to change the chart of accounts dynamically for different reporting purposes.
What can be done ?
BudgetLink provides the ability to create any number of alternate account hierarchies where you can entirely restructure which accounts are present and how they are aggregated from your original chart of accounts coming from MYOB, Reckon Accounts or Xero.
How does it work ?
Once BudgetLink is connected to your data file, you can create an account hierarchy providing you the flexibility to number, name and place your accounts as you require.
When running a report within BudgetLink, you can select if you want to use an account hierarchy to change the accounts that display on your report.
