Cash Basis Reporting
The Challenge
While MYOB can produce one cash basis report as shown below, it does not provide the data in any other layout. It also does not provide the ability to filter by jobs, or allow you to drilldown to see the transactions that make up the values on the reports. Cash values are not available for balance sheet accounts and there is no reports to compare cash actuals to a cash budget.
What can be done ?
BudgetLink provides the ability to create Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reports on a cash basis and gives you the power to filter that data by Detail Job, Header Job, Category, Company and across multiple financial years.
This cash based data can then be used to produce consolidated statutory cash flow statements.
How does it work ?
Once BudgetLink is installed and connected to your data files, run any report within BudgetLink. When choosing a version, select the Cash Version.
Note that the Cash version is disabled by default and require some set-up to enable it.
The Cash version is available for:
- MYOB AccountRight Classic (MYOB Accounting, Accounting Plus and Premier);
- QuickBooks;
- Reckon Accounts.
