The MYOB AccountRight Live data file must be upgraded

Overview

This error typically indicates that the data file must be upgraded to the latest version in order to connect to it.

Procedure

The procedure to follow varies depending on the location of your MYOB data file.

For MYOB data files located on your local machine

If your data file is located on your local machine, this error typically occurs for the following reasons.

  • You've installed the latest version of MYOB and have not yet upgraded your data file.
  • You've upgraded your data file to latest version of MYOB but have not installed the latest MYOB AccountRight Live API.
  • You've installed a mix of both the MYOB AccountRight PC installer and MYOB AccountRight Server installer on the same machine.

For MYOB data files located on server

If your data file is located on a server, this error typically occurs for the following reasons.

  • You've installed the latest version of MYOB and have not yet upgraded your data file.
  • You've upgraded your data file to latest version of MYOB but have not installed the latest MYOB AccountRight Live API on the server hosting the data file.
  • You've installed a mix of both the MYOB AccountRight PC installer and MYOB AccountRight Server installer on the server hosting the data file.

For MYOB data files located in the cloud

If you MYOB data file is located in the cloud, you simply need to install the latest version of MYOB AccountRight Live.

This error occurs because the Cloud server has been upgraded, but your data file has not.

If after upgrading your data file, the error still appears, check the make sure that you don't have two data files in the cloud with the same name and with different versions. If you do then contact MYOB and have them change the name of one so that they become unique. This will ensure that the MYOB API connects to the correct data file.
