Renaming Reports

Overview

Each report in BudgetLink is a separate worksheet of a workbook. As such, the reports can be renamed easily. The Menu is structured such that the first level is the name of the workbook, and the second level is the name of the Worksheet.

Renaming Reports

To rename reports, follow these steps.

  1. From within BudgetLink, open the report to rename;
  2. Right-Click on the tab at the bottom in Microsoft Excel and choose Rename;
  3. Enter the new name for the report and press Enter;
  4. From the Excel Menu, choose Save and then the option to Update.
  5. Chose Yes if prompted to clear the data already in the sheet.


Renaming Workbooks

To rename workbooks, follow these steps.

  1. From within BudgetLink, ensure the workbook to rename is closed;
  2. Navigate to the 35. Help workbook and then the Links worksheet;
  3. Click on the link ending with ...\System\;
  4. All the workbooks from within BudgetLink that are displayed in the menu will be listed. Identify the workbook and rename it;
  5. Return to BudgetLink and click on the Refresh Menu button.

Notes

  • The workbooks are listed alphabetically within BudgetLink's menu. As such, you can also control the order of the workbooks by changing the leading number in the workbook name.
