Removing a trusted location in Microsoft Excel

Overview

On some machines, it is best not to add a trusted location in order for BudgetLink to start correctly.

Removing a trusted location in Microsoft Excel 2010, 2013 and 2016

To remove an existing trusted location from Microsoft Excel 2010, 2013 and 2016, follow these steps.

  1. Start Microsoft Excel;
  2. Click on the File button;
  3. Click on the Options button;
  4. Click on the Trust Center entry in the list on the Excel Options dialogue;
  5. Click on the Trust Center Settings... button;
  6. Click on the Trusted Locations entry in the list on the Trust Center dialogue;
  7. Find and select the entry relating to BudgetLink or the trusted location you want to remove;
  8. Click the Remove button;
  9. Click the Browse... button and select the folder where ODBClink is installed'
  10. Tick the Subfolders of this location are also trusted checkbox;
  11. Click on the OK button of the Trust Center dialogue;
  12. Click on the OK button of the Excel Options dialogue;
  13. Close Microsoft Excel;

To remove an existing trusted location from Microsoft Excel 2007, follow these steps.

  1. Start Microsoft Excel;
  2. Click on the Round Office button;
  3. Click on the Excel Options button;
  4. Click on the Trust Center entry in the list on the Excel Options dialogue;
  5. Click on the Trust Center Settings... button;
  6. Click on the Trusted Locations entry in the list on the Trust Center dialogue;
  7. Find and select the entry relating to BudgetLink or the trusted location you want to remove;
  8. Click the Remove button;
  9. Click the Browse... button and select the folder where ODBClink is installed'
  10. Tick the Subfolders of this location are also trusted checkbox;
  11. Click on the OK button of the Trust Center dialogue;
  12. Click on the OK button of the Excel Options dialogue;
  13. Close Microsoft Excel;
