Overview

BudgetLink loads the data from your data file into Excel's memory. On a 32-bit version of Microsoft Excel, this means that there is a hard limit of 2 gigabytes available for BudgetLink. While BudgetLink's memory model is very efficient at storing data, some users who have very large data files or want to consolidated many data files together can run into problems when BudgetLink uses 1 gigabyte or more.

The typical problems that users experience are:

  • Subtotals do not get created correctly when customising reports;
  • Reports look strange with additional columns not previously seen;
  • Users receive Microsoft Visual Basic errors when Customising Reports or Publishing Reports;
  • Etc.
