Before starting the process make sure that you have the latest conversion functionality by upgrading to the latest version of BudgetLink if you haven't done so in the last year
# At 'Data File Type' change the selection from 'MYOB AccountRight or prior to MYOB AccountRight Live;
 
Go to the Edit Data File form
Menu > 30. Settings > Data Files > Manage Data Files
Click yes to Back up as your about to make major changes to your file
Select your Data file and click 'Edit Data File'
At '''Data File Type''' change the drop down from '''MYOB AccountRight 19''' to '''MYOB AccountRight Live'''
At Connection Type choose either LOCAL, SERVER, CLOUD. If when you log onto MYOB using your email address then you enter a separate UserName like Administrator then choose the USER NAME option else use the MY.MYOB option.
Click the '''Browse''' button
If you have chosen CLOUD then you will need to log onto my.MYOB first and approve access to BudgetLink
Then choose your data file
Enter your MYOB User Name and Password if required
Click Test to confirm that the details are correct
Once accurate then click OK.
BudgetLink will now convert your budgets and settings to the new format

The existing data file connection stores all budgets and settings relating to that data file. If you delete that connection it all associated budgets and settings will get deleted also.

Overview

From an integration perspective, MYOB AccountRight Live is a completely different product than MYOB AccountRight v19 (Classic). The Classic version provides access to the MYOB data via and ODBC Driver where as the Live version provides access via an API.

As they are different the normal upgrade process of pointing to the new data file would not work so we developed functionality to convert captured data from the classic format to the live format

How to Upgrade to MYOB AccountRight Live from MYOB AccountRight Classic
