Overview

If you are installing a new version, the budgets get copied automatically if you choose the Upgrade process rather than a New Installation process.

If this is not possible then you can copy budgets across using the steps below.

  1. Start the old installation of BudgetLink;
  2. Now start Creating_Budget_Templates containing your budget data;
  3. Make sure that you click on Customise button to choose the budget and the year you want to copy from;
  4. Save the workbook in a location so that you can access from second installation;
  5. Now Start the new installation to which you want the budgets to be copied into;
  6. Follow the steps to Import Budgets;
  7. When prompted choose the budget from the template you just saved.
