Data file setup - Error - Errors occurred saving data file information

The purpose of this page is to describe what the above error message means and how to resolve it
Situation
When you click OK in the Data file setup page and receive the message
"Errors occurred saving data file information"
It means that the BudgetLink program is not able to write the setup information to the BudgetLink database
Typically the reason for that is PC User Profile does not have permissions to edit files in the BudgetLink Folder
Solution
Make a request with your IT person to setup your user profile to have full read write permissions to the BudgetLink Folder
Then restart BudgetLink and try again
