Installing ODBClink

Overview

Once you have downloaded ODBClink, you will need to install it.

It is important that you carefully chose the location where you install ODBClink. You should chose a location to which all users have access.

While ODBClinkcan be moved to another location once installed, there are costs involved. For more information, see Moving ODBClink to a new machine or folder.

How to Install ODBClink

 
Installing ODBClink

To install ODBClink, follow these steps.

  1. To start the ODBClink Installer click Install_ODBClink.exe. It may be located at the bottom of your Browser;
  2. Choose Run. The Winzip Self Extractor - Install_ODBClink.exe form will appear;
  3. At the Unzip to folder: Choose the folder to install ODBClink;
  4. Click Unzip. An unzipped successfully message should appear when done;
  5. Click OK. ODBClink should now start;
  6. When you start ODBClinkfor the first time, you may need to enable macros in order for ODBClinkto start fully;
  7. ODBClink will open in a new session in Excel and the Menu will appear.
  8. Once macros are enabled, you will be prompted to create a ODBClink shortcut. Click Yes to do so;
  9. The Welcome to ODBClink Form will display;
  10. Click Getting Started Guide and follow the instructions to complete the installation.
