For ExcelReportLink to complete the [[Get Data]] process and to backup database files successfully, certain folder security permissions must be set. These settings will allow data to be extracted from your accounting products data file and be written to the ExcelReportLink databases.

As a minimum, all ExcelReportLink users must have '''Read''' and '''Write''' access to all files and sub folders of the [[ExcelReportLink System Folder|ExcelReportLink folder]] and the '''C:/Temp/ExcelReportLink''' folder. 

Giving all ExcelReportLink users '''Full Control''' to the [[ExcelReportLink System Folder|ExcelReportLink folder]] itself and to all sub folders and files will ensure that ExcelReportLink can work correctly.

Furthermore, ExcelReportLink '''cannot''' be installed in '''C:\Program Files\''' or '''C:\Program Files (x86)\'''.
