| BudgetLink is made up of Excel Workbooks with Macros and databases saved in a folder. Microsoft Excel is the application which BudgetLink runs within. Moving BudgetLink to another computer is a matter of moving the BudgetLink folder. Transfer keys are required if moving other computer. The process is the same if moving to another folder on the same computer.

| == How to move BudgetLink to another folder ==

| # Locate the BudgetLink folder. The default path is C:\BudgetLink [Edition Name] [Version Number];

| # Cut the Folder;
| |
| # Paste into the new location. Note, we suggest preserving BudgetLink folder name so that the Edition and Version can be identified;
| |
| # Start BudgetLink. Click on the BudgetLink.exe file within the BudgetLink folder.
| |
| # If you want a short cut placed on your desktop then click yes when prompted
| |
| # If you have moved BudgetLink to another Computer a Transfer Key form will appear. This will display for 14 days within which you must enter a transfer key to continue using using BudgetLink on that computer. Please note that fees may apply before a transfer key is issued.

| # Click Request/Buy Transfer Key and follow the prompts.

| # A Transfer Key will be generated and returned via email. Allow up to 48 hours turn around time
