Inserting subtotals is slow in Excel 2013
Overview
Inserting subtotals is slow in Excel 2013. This is due to internal changes in the Excel 2013 platform and does not affect users of Excel 2007 or Excel 2010.
We are currently investigating what can be done on our end to increase the time it takes to add subtotals to reports. We will release a fix when available.
Solutions
In the mean time, we recommend the following work-arounds:
- Turn off subtotals unless absolutely necessary.
- Change the account level instead if you need to produce totals (e.g. run your report at Account Level 2 or 3)
- Use Excel 2007 or 2010 if available.
