BudgetLink Folder Guidelines
- The default path is the C:\BudgetLink. From a support point of view, we suggest that use this folder unless you want multiple people to use the solution and you have a server or you are a service provider and you will be using BudgetLink for multiple Clients.
- If browsing to a folder location other than the default we suggest that you ensure that the installation path ends in a folder named 'BudgetLink'. A subfolder named the version number will be added to this folder
- If you are sharing BudgetLink with multiple users then either choose a folder on your file server or in a Dropbox folder or in a OneDrive folder.
- If BudgetLink is installed on a file server (network location), you will need to ensure that users have the correct permissions to the BudgetLink folder in order to use the application. Please see Troubleshooting folder permissions for more information.
- If upgrading from a version which includes the version name in the Path ie BudgetLink v2017.3.3.9, then install as a sibling in the same Parent folder
- If upgrading a version which only contains BudgetLink as the path, then install into the same folder as the existing version
