Overview
DirectDebitsLink's upgrade process has been tailored to allow you to continue using your old installation of DirectDebitsLink in parallel to the new version. This is to ensure a smooth transition to the latest version.
If you've not done so, download and install the latest version of DirectDebitsLink. For more information, see Downloading DirectDebitsLink and Installing DirectDebitsLink.
Once the latest version of DirectDebitsLink has been downloaded and installed to your system, follow these steps.
Upgrading for DirectDebitsLink Standard Edition users (or other paid editions)
The following instructions will assist you in upgrading your new installation of DirectDebitsLink.
- Start DirectDebitsLink;
- On the DirectDebitsLink welcome dialogue, read the User License Agreement;
- Tick the I Accept... checkbox to confirm your acceptance of the terms;
- Click on the Upgrade button;
- On the Detected Installations screen, select your old installation of DirectDebitsLink;
- If your old installation of DirectDebitsLink is not listed, click the Browse button and browse to the your old DirectDebitsLink.exe;
- If you have multiple installations of DirectDebitsLink listed, ensure you select the most recent one (e.g. the one you used);
- Once the correct installation is selected in the list, click OK;
- Wait for the upgrade progress dialogue to complete, then click Close;
- Perform a Get Data and start using DirectDebitsLink.
You will be allowed to use DirectDebitsLink, without an upgrade key for up to 30 days. After which you will need to purchase and/or request your upgrade key and enter it into the software.
Requesting and Entering Upgrade Key
To request and enter your upgrade key, follow these steps.
- Start DirectDebitsLink;
- When prompted, click on Request Upgrade Key or Enter Upgrade Key;
Upgrading for DirectDebitsLink Free Edition users
For DirectDebitsLink Free Edition users who have paid for the upgrade process, refer to the instructions titled Upgrading for DirectDebitsLink Standard Edition users (or other paid editions).
For DirectDebitsLink Free Edition users who do not use the paid for upgrade process, the following instructions will assist you in upgrading your new installation of DirectDebitsLink Free Edition manually.
- Start DirectDebitsLink;
- On the DirectDebitsLink welcome dialogue, read the User License Agreement;
- Tick the I Accept... checkbox to confirm your acceptance of the terms;
- Click on the New Installation button;
- Follow the prompts to connect your data file, etc.
You will be allowed to use DirectDebitsLink, without a license key for up to 30 days. Remember to enter your license key or request your license key.
