* Get IT to grant full control to the C:\Temp\ folder and ensure the permissions are propagated to all subfolders. You may have different permissions at different folder levels and it didn’t propagate down.
* Have IT try to delete the C:\Temp\DirectDebitsLink folder. It gets recreated during get data anyways.  If it says a file is locked, you may need to reboot the machine and it might have more to do with a locked file than permissions. This happens on terminal servers, sometimes.

Overview

During the Get Data process DirectDebitsLink may copy your accounting data file to a local temporary folder. It may do this to improve the get data speed If you don't want it to copy your data file locally or to copy it into a different location then follow the steps below

Change Settings to Not Copy Locally

Setup Direct Debits Settings Screen

To setup DirectDebitsLink to prepare the direct debits, follow these steps.

  1. From the menu, click on 30. Settings;
  2. Click on the Options item that appears in the menu;
  3. On the next screen, click on the Set User Options button;
  4. In the Options Menu, click on the Get Data item;
  5. At the Copy Locally Method drop down, choose Do not copy locally;
  6. Click on the Save button to store these settings.
