Connecting DirectDebitsLink to MYOB AccountRight Live
Overview
You can connect DirectDebitsLink to your MYOB AccountRight Live 2016 or lower data file.
Requirements
Before Connecting DirectDebitsLink to MYOB AccountRight Live or lower on a Server or Local Machine, please ensure that the following tasks has been done.
Perform a manual testing to check whether your API is working.
Connecting DirectDebitsLink to MYOB AccountRight Live or lower on a Cloud.
Please note that you will not require the download the MYOB software, Make sure you have the login credentials for MYOB.
Connecting DirectDebitsLink to MYOB AccountRight Live
To connect DirectDebitsLink with MYOB AccountRight Live, follow these steps. Note that these instructions do not show you how get to the Data File Setup dialogue.
To connect DirectDebitsLink with MYOB AccountRight Live, follow these steps. Note that these instructions do not show you how get to the Data File Setup dialogue.
- Go to the Data File Setup dialogue. See Changing how DirectDebitsLink connects to your data file for more information;
- Enter Company Name;
- Select MYOB AccountRight 2016 or prior as the Data File Type;
- Choose whether to Connect to MYOB data file in the LOCAL library, Connect to MYOB data file in the REMOTE library OR Connect to MYOB data file in the CLOUD;
- If using Connect to MYOB data file in the REMOTE library enter the Server Name where the data file is located;
- Click the Browse button to select your data file;
- If using Connect to MYOB data file in the CLOUD, log in to your my.myob account and click the Allow Access button;
- Select the data file to connect to and click OK;
- Enter the User Name and Password to connect to your data file;
- Click OK to close the Data File Setup dialogue;
- Click Close to close the Manage Data Files dialogue;
- Run your first Get Data.
Notes
- We recommend you use the Administrator user when connecting to your MYOB data file to ensure DirectDebitsLink has access to all data required.
- When connecting to an MYOB data file located in the cloud, you must first login in to your MY.MYOB account. This ensures that no third-party tool can connect to your data without authorisation.
