Overview
Periods represent the time period constrained by a financial year. Reports within BudgetLink can produce reports for the following periods:
- Months
- Quarters
- Half-Years
- Year
- Weeks
- 4-Weekly Periods
Months
Months represent the sum of all activity for a given month. Being linked to the financial year, the first month is not necessarily January. It depends on how your accounting package is configured.
Quarters
Quarters represent the sum of all activity for a given 3 month period. They are intimately linked to the months. Four quarters are available within BudgetLink.
- 1st Quarter
- 2nd Quarter
- 3rd Quarter
- 4th Quarter
Half-Years
Half-Years represent the sum of all activity for a given six month. They are intimately linked to the months. Two half-years are available within BudgetLink.
- 1st Half
- 2nd Half
Year
The year period represent the total sum of all the activity that occurred within a financial year.
Weeks
Weekly periods represent the total sum of all activity for a given period of 7 days. BudgetLink is flexible in how it determines how the weeks behave. There are options that control the number of weeks (either 52 or 53) or which day of the week they begin or how they may overlap your financial years.
4-Weekly Periods
Thirtheen 4-weekly periods are available within BudgetLink. The weekly periods roll into these 4-weekly periods similar to how months roll into quarters.
