Overview

If you have a new machine (PC) or wish to hand over BudgetLink operations to another person, you can move BudgetLink by cutting and pasting the BudgetLink Folder. As the BudgetLink Solution is powered by Microsoft Excel there is no need to run the installer again.

If you do require BudgetLink on a separate machine you can copy the BudgetLink Folder rather than move it. If however your intention is to provide access to multiple users it is better to position the BudgetLink Folder into a location where it can be shared.

Procedure

  1. Locate the existing BudgetLink Folder you wish to move;
  2. Cut and paste it to the new location;
  3. Enable user access to BudgetLink folders
  4. Start BudgetLink in the new location by double clicking the BudgetLink.exe file located in the BudgetLink Folder;

A New User Setup Wizard will start

A Transfer Key may be required.

BudgetLink should now be useable on the new machine. Be mindful you may need to update your data connection. See Changing how BudgetLink connects to your data file for more information.
