Overview

If you have a new machine or handing over the operation of BudgetLink to another person, then you may want to move BudgetLink to a new location (machine or folder). This guide will explain how to do that.

Procedure

  1. Locate the existing BudgetLink Folder you wish to move;
  2. Cut and paste it to the new location;
  3. Enable access to BudgetLink folders
  4. Start the BudgetLink in the new location by double clicking the BudgetLink.exe file located in the BudgetLink Folder;

A new user wizard will start

If a Transfer Key is Required

BudgetLink should now be useable on the new machine. Be mindful you may need to update your data connection. See Changing how BudgetLink connects to your data file for more information.
