Overview

BudgetLink keeps a record of your data file connection settings in order to connect to your data file. If the name and path of your data file changes, you will need to update BudgetLink with the correct information.

How to update BudgetLink to point to moved or renamed MYOB data file

  1. Start BudgetLink;
  2. From the menu, click on the 30. Settings workbook and then Data Files;
  3. Click on the Manage Data Files button;
  4. Select the data file to edit and click Edit Data File;
  5. Click the Browse button next to the Data File Path field, find your MYOB data file and click Open;
  6. Click the Test button in the bottom-left corner to ensure it can connect successfully;
  7. Click OK on the Edit Data Files dialogue;
  8. Click Close on the Manage Data Files dialogue;
  9. Click the Get Data button;

Notes

It is important that when changing the data connection record that you browse to the same MYOB company file.
