Overview

If you are installing a new version, run the upgrading process rather than a new installation process so that budgets get copied across automatically.

of this is not possible then you can copy budgets across using the steps below.

  1. Start the old installing of BudgetLink;
  1. Now start Creating_Budget_Templates containing your budget data;
  1. Make sure that you click on Customise button to choose the budget and the year you want to copy from;
  1. Save the workbook in a location so that you can access from second installation;
  1. Now Start the new version to which you the the budgets to be copied into;
  1. Follow the steps to Import Budgets ;
  1. When prompted choose the budget from the template you just saved.
