Excel lends itself well to dynamiclally modelling budgets and forecast due to it’s rich formula language. However, importing this data back into your accounting package can be complicated or impossible.

What can be done ?

BudgetLink provides many ways to import budgets and forecasts. Of note, it provides the ability to link to your budgets and forecasts by setting up budget data sources. These budget data sources are imported seamlessly during the get data process.

How does it work ?

The first step involves creating your budget model or forecast within Excel. Once created, you can add a budget data source within BudgetLink and select this file. Doing so ensures that any changes to this separate spreadsheet will be imported during the get data process, ensuring that the numbers are always up to date.
